BAT FLIGHT

by Robert Selman

Tetraploid

Semi Evergreen foliage

Mid season bloomer

NEW TO UK!

31" tall x 5.5" flowers.

I dug this one for the first time at the weekend - I have never sold a single fan since importing it into England.  It is yellow/parchment with purple eye and edge.  Well branched and puts on a great show.  Robert Selman plants do great in UK as they are from a similar winter climate and are extremely hardy and always have perfect flowers and great foliage.  The hybridiser said he could see 'a bat in flight' within the eyezone markings!

Never seen for sale in UK.  Imported from USA by me.  You will receive 2 nice fans.

BOB MARLEY

Laprise, Ellen – 2007

Bloom 7” (18cm) x height 36” (91cm)

Mid-Late/Semi-Evergreen/Tetraploid

**Unusual Form Crispate**

I cannot praise this cultivar enough – a stellar performer in every way! It is a brilliant orange with orange red eye above a green throat.  It has 3 well placed branches with a high bud count and flowers for a very long time.  When it is in full bloom you are just drawn towards it – it looks stunning planted with purple and blue perennials. A top favourite of mine. Limited.

BOOGIE MY WOOGIE BABY

Bachman, D – 2003

Bloom 7.5” (19cm) x height 4ft (120cm)

Mid-Late/Dormant/Diploid

Spider

Although registered at 48” I find this cultivar flowers slightly shorter in the UK – but still tall.  Red with lighter midribs above small green throat. A nice addition to the late perennial border. This is one of my last daylilies to flower - I am always adding to my late collection. Dan Bachman has now retired so this is somewhat of a gem
